Sashimi: Not As Expected

We decided to try Sashimi sushi bar as the place looked nice and had many branches and attractive prices. It wasn’t as expected.

Pros:

The dumplings 🥟 and shrimp pieces were good, and the ambience is cool. The prices are competitive and they have offers on some pieces for 1$ per piece.

Cons:

The Salmon was not good at all. Its color was pale and dull, the taste was watery and tasteless. The waiter was helpful and offered another sashimi dish, but the color and taste were the same. The pieces had too much sauces and I could not taste the fish (many restaurants do that and it’s usually an alarming sign – I always order sashimi to be able to actually taste the salmon). Even the crab pieces blending could’ve been better. We didn’t finish the plate.

PS:

a white salmon color does not always mean that the salmon is low quality or bad, it depends on the fish type. But pale/discolored is usually not a good quality sign.
