Open Sushi at Shinto Mar Mkhayel – July 2019.

Great Sushi, rich variation, affordable offer (Daily all day long for 27$/person)

Pros:

Fresh fish and great quality. Big juicy pieces, rich in salmon and fish. The variation is big enough including different combinations. My favorite pieces were the dragon roll shrimp tempura (second picture). One sashimi order (3 pieces) per person is included and a crab salad. Everything was fresh including the ripe avoacado. Good presentation and friendly staff. Affordable at 27$/person daily.

Cons:

I didn’t like their specialty pieces “Screaming O”; too much sauces with fried/boiled shrimp, didn’t go with the sushi (more like a Mexican dish, may be suitable as an appetizer).

Conclusion: Recommended, one of the top open sushi offers in Beirut.

PS: I had given a lower score for Hazmieh branch (probably they fixed it as well) end of 2018, this is Mar Mkhayel branch.
