Open Sushi @qatchlb Kraytem, Beirut – March 2019

Pros:

Fresh and good quality fish; salmon, crab , shrimp . The crab salad starter is rich in crab and very tasty. The amount of salmon in pieces is rich enough. The crispy flakes are crunchy and not chewy (could add a little more though). The value for money is definitely there at 30$/person: crab salad + open sushi + 2 drinks/person (every Monday and Wednesday). Friendly and clean service.

Cons:

Main con is variety, the variety is limited compared to other open sushi places. Limited choices for pieces with salmon, no sashimi orders, and temakis are included but with no salmon temaki. Most pieces are really big and contain too much rice; you can’t eat as many pieces as usual. The salmon is fresh and tasty but lacks special marination and has a classic ordinary taste, especially due to the big pieces size

Conclusion: Good quality. Offering is competitive enough for open sushi, but not amongst the most attractive offers for now. Recommended.
