Tokyo:
Sushi @tokyo_sushiii haret hreik/chiyah. Better quality than expected, but major points to work on. Around 3500 LL/pc. Total score 6.5/10.
Pros :
– They use imported Scottish salmon
– Tasty good quality crab
– Tasty pieces mixes
– Good presentation (they also have red cool crisp flakes upon request)
– Friendly staff, Lebanese chefs.
Cons :
– The salmon sashimi was very soft and with a watery taste. Probably because they receive the fillet without bones making it soft when stored. The defrosting methods used is probably a main reason as well: defrosting slowly causes the salmon to absorb more water, lose taste and texture. Didn’t like the salmon taste. Very noticeable in the sashimi, not so much in the mixed pieces.
– A little too much rice in makis.
Conclusion:
Good quality overall. You will probably like the pieces. But the handling, storage and defrosting of the raw salmon needs to be urgently addressed. At around 3500LL/pc, they need to up their game a little more
