Kirei:
Good value for money and quality overall but the expected the overall taste to be better. Total: 7/10 (for taste 6.5)
Pros :
+Good quality salmon overall (imported not local trout)
+Good presentation in boats and ice
+Tuna’s imported from philipines (not a tuna fan but seemed better quality than usual tuna)
+Very clean/organized kitchen and storage. Owner showed me around after. Professional and friendly staff.
+Tasty teriyaki sauce (they make it in-house)
+Value for money is good for quality used. Pieces in general are at around 8 thousand per piece.
Cons :
-Compared to other places the sashimi/salmon was less flavorful and less firm texture.
-Too much mayo in many items like the crab salad, burrito and some pieces. Some people prefer it extra mayo this way.
-Some pieces have too much rice in them. They weigh pieces by total grams in menu, rice inclusive.
-Expected the burrito 🌯 people recommended to be better. Nori is a little moist. The burrito didn’t close well and opened when removing the nylon of it (check pic. Owner said it’s a temporary issue because of supply). And too much mayo and rice for my taste.
-The shrimp 🦐in dragon tempura didn’t taste very fresh and was a little crumbled/dry
Items not to miss:
Spicy salmon riceless and Phila mango.
Pricing:
Good value for money at around 8 000 LL/piece upon visit
Conclusion:
Good value for money. Some attention for details and taste is needed. Good choice in Amchit if you’re looking for a balance between quality and price.
