Cons

  • Regular pieces are plain
  • Fresh spring rolls salmon not tasty marination

Sushi dinner @qatchlb kraytem (updated). Fresh sushi place with good value for money.

Pros:

Fresh fish. Everything is fresh: salmon, shrimp, mango, avocado, smoked salmon. The salmon taste and quality are both very good. The crispy salmon salad is simple as it should be, and with a generous portion. Pieces are big and well presented. Very big variety: regular makis, fried makis, riceless makis, futo makis, gunkan, poke.. Good value for money and competitive pricing; 4 big pieces with salmon at around 9000-10000LL and affordable appetizers: the 4 cut pieces of fresh spring rolls with salmon are for 6 500 LL only. The mochi desert was fresh and tender as it should be. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Cons:

The mixes of some regular pieces are fresh but classic; the taste can feel plain and needs some kind of marination especially because the pieces are big. It’s better to pick the special mix pieces. The gunkan had too much rice in it which made it chewy overall. The fresh spring rolls with salmon was well wrapped but its inside sauce marination wasn’t tasty and plain (ask for it without the sauce inside and with sweet chilly aside).

Conclusion: Big variety, good value for money, a few final touches needed. Recommended place in Beirut.
