Different Types of Sushi Names:
1) Sashimi
Sashimi is a fish piece without rice.
2) Nigiri or also called Sushi
Nigiri or sushi, is fish on top of rice.
3) Hoso Maki
Hoso makis are the classic sushi rolls, with nori seaweed on the outside.
4) Ura Maki: rice on the outside
Ura Maki also called inside out sushi because the rice is on the outside and the nori is hidden inside. It’s an American style sushi, started because some people want to hide the taste of Nori saeweed.
5) Temaki or Hand Rolls
Temaki is a sushi hand roll, can be made in a cone style or regular roll style, and filled with rice and fish ingredients.
6) Gunkan Maki
Gunkan, also means “Battleship” in Japanese because it looks like one. Made of rice topped with fish and wrapped with nori, Usually smaller than Temaki.
7) Futo Maki: bigger size hoso maki
Futo Makis are simply bigger size hoso makis. Usually include multiple ingredients for a bigger richer in taste bite.
