The Met – Downtown – Open Sushi – December 2017 @themetlb

Score: 7/ 10

Pros:

The fish and other ingredients are fresh. The pieces are well made and well mixed and hold well together. The taste is good. You can taste the fresh avocado 🥑, mango and crab 🦀. The value for money is good as the open sushi includes a miso soup, salad (OR sashimi pieces), open ura makis and a desert, for a total of 35$.

Cons:

The salmon sashimi tasted a little bit watery, which is not a very good sign of quality. Not very bad but not ideal. The variety was VERY limited, they only added around 6 kinds of sushi pieces at the conveyor even though it was a full house. And finally, the staff does not inform you about what you can get with the formula (this is the second or 3rd time this happens), so if you don’t know that you get sashimi pieces or a desert, they don’t usually tell you, which is a little annoying.

Conclusion:

try it but make sure to ask them to add a variety of sushi kinds before starting, and that you know exactly what you get in the formula. And order a 7up instead of a pepsi, it’s 100 LL cheaper 😂
